We’re looking for a technically skilled and commercially minded Shopify Developer & Web Specialist who thrives in a owner operated, fast paced, agile environment - who wants to improve conversion, try new strategies and optimise a great Australian brand!

Factory Buys is an established Australian e-commerce brand delivering affordable quality furniture and home goods direct to customers nationwide.
We’re now expanding our internal capabilities and looking for an experienced Shopify Developer & Specialist to work directly with the Owner on optimising and evolving our online store.

This position can be offered as a contract or a permanent part-time role, depending on experience. It’s a remote-based position (Australia only) with flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimise our Shopify Plus store themes and Liquid code.

Implement and monitor technical SEO & Merchant Centre elements — schema, breadcrumbs, structured data, and schema.

Develop and execute, in collaboration with the business, conversion rate optimisation (CRO) improvements to enhance user experience and drive sales.

Oversee, manage all app integration

Support marketing with custom landing pages, tagging, and campaign rollouts.

Proactively identify and resolve site performance or code issues.

Collaborate directly with the owner and the skilled team on technical strategy, roadmap, and platform improvements.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience developing and administering Shopify Plus stores.

Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON-LD.

Hands-on experience with Klaviyo

Demonstrated ability to drive CRO improvements

Solid understanding of Shopify apps and SEO best practices.

Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independently.

Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts simply.
