Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for an ILS Officer in Canberra to work on Joint projects.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

Deliver complex logistics support to meet project deliverables and apply Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) considerations across capability development.

Provide technical ILS advice for project planning, procedures, and Support System Constituent Capabilities during acquisition.

Support logistics activities including RAM analysis, sparing, LORA, costing, capability transition, and advising on Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC).

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at both strategic and operational levels.

Ensure Logistics Governance & Assurance by following Defence policies, processes, and record-keeping standards.

What You'll Bring

Proven experience in ICT system administration with strong technical capability.

Solid understanding of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) and compliance requirements.

Formal qualifications in information security, plus certifications in VMware Workspace ONE UEM, AWS, and Microsoft Office 365.

Ability to work independently with initiative and responsibility, supported by strong written (Defence standards) and oral communication skills.

Exposure to aviation environments, demonstrating adaptability in complex operational contexts.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
