The positions report directly to the Print Manager.

Summary

These are full time positions with the responsibility for the day to day operation of either six colour Heidelberg XL106 presses with coating units, or flexographic or offset web printers for a ten colour press including die cutting. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and meeting our productivity, quality and delivery requirements.

Abaris operates twelve hour shifts.

An attractive salary in the range of $80,000 to $95,000 per annum plus guaranteed paid overtime is payable depending on qualifications and relevance of experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Management of the press to meet our productivity targets.

Monitoring of production processes to meet our quality targets.

Adherence to specified print order deadlines.

Maintenance of production and quality records.

Maintenance of the press according to the maintenance and lubrication schedules.

Ensuring the proper cleanliness of the press.

Skills & Experience Required

Formal printing qualifications and/or equivalent on the job experience together with at least 5 years of experience in printing on six colour presses, or flexographic or offset web ten colour presses. Experience in the maintenance of printing presses.

Experience in printing with high volume production of cardboard, paper, plastic and self adhesive substrates.
