Mental Health Clinician - DVA - Brisbane and Melbourne
$65-$75 per hour + super
Hybrid Working - Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm roster

The Role
As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll work within a telephone-based clinical team providing intake, assessment, and triage services. You'll deliver immediate, trauma-informed mental health support and make appropriate referrals to specialist and crisis care services.
This position operates in a 7am-7pm Monday to Friday roster, with flexibility to work a mix of office and home-based shifts. You'll be supported with professional development opportunities, funded clinical supervision, and a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality intake, risk assessment, crisis intervention and brief counselling.
- Deliver evidence-based individual, couple, and family interventions.
- Coordinate care with families, other providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in line with policy and standards.
- Contribute to team meetings, case reviews, and continuous improvement.
About You
You're a qualified and registered mental health professional with experience in intake, triage, and brief interventions in a fast-paced environment. You bring strong communication skills, sound judgement in high-pressure situations, and a commitment to trauma-informed care. You have experience in working with DVA clients or a personal connection to ADF personnel.
Essential Requirements:
- Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, OR Counsellor with PACFA/ACA (Level 3/4) clinical counselling registration.
- Capacity to obtain Working with Children/Vulnerable People checks.
- Minimum 4 years expeirence as a mental health professional
- Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain Security Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in mental health settings, ideally including telephone-based service delivery.
- Experience working with DVA clients or a personal connection to ADF personnel
- Located near Brisbane or Melbourne- not a remote opportunity, must be able to attend the office when required
