About the role

Caldermeade Farm is looking for energetic and friendly Cafe Front of House staff to join our team in our cafe in Caldermeade, VIC. This is a casual role where you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our guests and ensuring the smooth running of our cafe operations.

What you'll be doing

Welcoming and seating customers in a warm and friendly manner

Taking food and drink orders, communicating these to the kitchen team, and ensuring timely service

Providing recommendations on our menu items and daily specials

Maintaining a clean and organised front-of-house area, including clearing and resetting tables

Preparing and serving front of house items such as ice cream and milkshakes

Handling cash and card payments

Assisting with other cafe duties as required to support the team

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, ideally in a cafe or restaurant environment, but all skill levels will be considered

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality

Hold a current Food Handling Certificate

Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Good numeracy skills and experience handling cash and card payments

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

A passion for food and drinks, and a desire to provide excellent customer service

Valid Australian work rights or visa authorisation required

16 years or older
