Maxima are seeking a A03 Aerial Support Officer to work with their client to support the National Fire Ant Eradication Program based in Berrinba.

This role will see you working Monday - Friday 36.25 hours per week with the current assignment to 30 June 2026 with a casual hourly pay of $50.37.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-ground support during aerial operations, including the use of maps and associated site-specific information to manage risks associated with the delivery of aerial treatment program such as cropping, livestock, infrastructure and members of the public
• Undertaking administrative tasks in the office such as cleaning vehicles, printing maps or entering data at times when not required for aerial operations
• Leading daily pre-start meetings with other ASOs and subcontractors to ensure everyone is well briefed at the start of each day
• Communicating effectively with pilots to ensure they are well informed in any additional risks which may become apparent during operations
• Monitoring and recording the position of helicopters to ensure they are operational and responding promptly in the event of an emergency
• Perform approved aerial operations including assisting management with operational planning, organising, directing and evaluating aerial outcomes and priorities
• Monitor and identify potential issues and use judgement and problem solving to assist in managing these issues

To Be Successful:

• Current manual driver's license
• Previous experience within a similar role
• Current clear National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and communication, particularly with primary producers or rural communities
