Posted 9 days ago
As a Senior Project Officer within the Native Title and Indigenous Land Services team, you'll be part of a specialised group responsible for helping the Queensland Government recognise Indigenous interests in land and natural resources. Each day, you'll work closely with the Native Title Compensation team to coordinate Queensland's response to native title claims and Indigenous Land Use Agreements, ensuring decisions are well-informed and supported by accurate and legally defensible data.
This role will see you balancing research with spatial knowledge, using your organisational skills to manage multiple matters at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You'll contribute to improving departmental processes, identifying ways to refine systems and make native title research more efficient and automated. You'll thrive in this role if you're analytical, curious and collaborative. The ability to interpret complex information, build respectful relationships and communicate clearly will help you succeed in this important work that supports
Queensland's reconciliation and land management goals.
To apply, please provide:
• A current resume detailing your relevant experience
• A cover letter addressing your experience:
o Researching and analysing information and applying relevant legislation and policy to undertake Native Title Compensation assessments
o Preparing reports, advice and other documentation to support native title and land related work
