About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and trustworthy House Manager / Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day running of a private coastal estate in Clifton Beach, Tasmania.

This is a hands-on, long-term role for someone who takes pride in creating a calm, well-organised, and beautifully maintained home environment.

The position suits a professional with prior experience in luxury residential settings, boutique hospitality, or high-net-worth households, someone proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing household operations independently with quiet efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Household Operations

Maintain all internal spaces to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.

Laundry, ironing, wardrobe, and linen management.

Pantry, fridge, and household supply organisation and restocking.

Oversee tradespeople, cleaners, and service providers.

Manage household systems including pool, garden, and property maintenance.

Conduct daily home readiness checks (morning setup, evening reset).

Food & Hospitality

Plan and prepare light meals (breakfast, lunch, or simple dinners) as requested.

Assist with grocery planning, online orders, or errands.

Ensure the kitchen and dining areas remain clean, tidy, and functional.

Support small family gatherings and occasional events.

Errands & Logistics

Manage mail, deliveries, dry cleaning, and post-office runs.

Replenish household consumables and cleaning supplies.

Maintain vehicles (cleaning, fuelling, service bookings).

Keep a simple household calendar for trades and maintenance.

Family & Property Support

Assist with pet care (feeding, vet visits, grooming coordination).

Babysitting and supporting family routines with discretion and flexibility.

Ensure the property is secure, well-kept, and guest-ready at all times.

About You

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a private household, luxury residence, or high-end hospitality environment.

Highly organised, proactive, and discreet.

Able to manage priorities independently and anticipate needs before being asked.

Strong attention to detail and high personal presentation.

Comfortable preparing light, healthy meals.

Trustworthy, reliable, and capable of maintaining confidentiality.

Driver’s licence required.

Police check, blue card and working-with-children clearance.

Hours & Schedule

Split-shift role: typically 6 am–10 am and 3 pm–7 pm, Monday–Friday.

Occasional weekend or after-hours work for special events (with notice and time-in-lieu).

Compensation Package

Component Annual Value: Base Salary $90,000

Superannuation (12%) $10,800

Total Estimated Package ≈ $100,800 p.a.
