We're looking for a skilled Estimator/Supervisor (OO7/1 level) to join a dynamic team in Townsville, supporting building and maintenance construction projects across NQ. Joining a large QLD Government Department, this role offers the chance to contribute to high-quality building solutions, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver accurate estimates and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Scope, tender and quote building projects for complex projects.
• Produce accurate estimates and high-quality tender documentation.
• Ensure compliance with State Purchasing Policies, Minor Works guidelines, and client requirements.
• Use estimating software to prepare material lists, trade packages and construction programs.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective outcomes.

What we're looking for:

• Strong estimating/scoping experience in building construction and maintenance.
• High-level computer literacy and communication skills.
• Knowledge of contemporary estimating methods and relevant legislation.
• Proven ability to interpret plans and prepare accurate estimates.
• Current QLD Open Driver's Licence and General Safety Induction Card.

About the role:

• Duration: Initial contract to 30th of January 2026 + highly likely ongoing contract extension
• Rate: $67.89 per hour + superannuation
