They specialise in designing and implementing state-of-the-art fire protection solutions for data centre, commercial, industrial and metro projects. Due to a high volume of projects - they are looking to add an experienced Fire Services Designer to their team

About the role:
As a Fire Services Designer, you will play a key role in designing fire protection systems for a wide range of projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to create customized fire protection solutions that adhere to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to understand client requirements and project specifications.
• Design and draft fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for designing fire safety solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to address their concerns and provide technical expertise.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire protection systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing fire protection systems, working for a contractor
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design and Hyena for hydraulic calculations
• Strong knowledge of Australian fire codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
