We’re looking for someone ready to make a real difference. This role is about more than support — it’s about helping people rebuild stability, confidence, and independence after experiences of homelessness and mental health challenges.

You’ll provide practical, person-centred support, helping residents develop routines, set goals, and gain the skills they need to thrive. Every day is hands-on, meaningful, and full of variety — from daily living support to connecting people with services that meet their needs.

We need someone steady, reliable, and curious. Someone who can celebrate the wins (big and small), respond with empathy, and step up when challenges arise. You’ll work within a team, problem-solve, raise concerns when something doesn’t feel right, and also work independently when needed.

A day in the role might include:

Developing and adapting recovery-focused, trauma-informed support plans.

Support consumers in developing skills that may include independent living, community participation, personal choice and decision-making, managing accommodation, and improving physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Supporting medication management through an adult-to-adult model.

Keeping clear, accurate case notes and contributing to team discussions.

Conduct group facilitation

Participating in a weekly sleepover shift to provide consistent, stable support.

To be successful, you’ll need:

A minimum of Certificate III in Mental Health or Community Services, or you’re studying a relevant degree (like Psychology or Social Work) with a completed placement.

Some experience in mental health or community services to help you hit the ground running.

A strong understanding of recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and wellness-based approaches.

Great communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work independently.

Tech-savvy, comfortable with record-keeping and computer systems.

What's in it for you?

Pay: Competitive salary, plus NFP salary packaging giving you the potential to gain $15,900 in tax benefits.

Leave: 28 days annual leave, that's 3 days more than the standard 5 weeks

Perks: Social activities or expand your experience by joining a consultation committee

Hours & Roster: 38 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday -Tuesday: 2.30pm - 10.30pm, Friday, to Sunday: 7.00am to 3.00pm with a required weekly sleepover.

Career development: Training, accessible leaders, growth and advancement opportunities

Culture: Exceptional workplace culture – we work hard and have fun while we do it
