We are looking for our next superstar Animal Attendant to join our team!
Take the Lead Canine Services is a boarding, training, rescue, and day-care facility located to Two Wells, South Australia. We are a family-owned business who strive to provide top quality care for our canine friends in a farm-style setting to the South Australian community.
Our boarding services range from quick weekend get-aways to 6 month long stays while their owners explore the world! We are seeking those with an attention to detail and efficiency to ensure the dogs are receiving the highest quality of care.
Throughout the dogs boarding stays, we offer top tier add-ons and experiences such as Beach Trips, Treadmill sessions and Country Hikes for enrichment – this is where the Animal Attendants come in!
So – what does being an Animal Attendant at Take the Lead Canine Services look like?
Our treasured Animal Attendants are the back-bone to our facility, they work in diverse areas of the business and are the go-to people when it comes to the care of our boarding and training clients. This role is very demanding mentally and physically as you are responsible for the cleaning, feeding and overall well-being of the dogs staying on site. This job requires you to work both as a team but also independently and think on your feet as we are extremely fast paced.
Animal Attendants are required, but not limited to starting as early as 6:30am and finish as late at 6pm. Your day at work will involve getting your hands dirty when cleaning the sleeping quarters and communicating with leadership in regard to dog wellbeing and stock management. The Animal Attendant role is best suited to someone who is flexible, reliable, energetic and willing to take on new challenges! If you are put off by smelly odours, slobber, loud noises or faeces, this is not the job for you.
One of the main components of this role is cleaning and sanitising sleeping quarters, however the fun does not stop there and we will have you configuring and managing our busy daycare yards! This aspect of the business requires someone who is physically fit, can take a few Saint Bernard love tackles and is gentle when managing the small furry friends!
Professional experience in the animal industry is NOT essential for this position, but being enthusiastic, eager to learn, being extremely reliable and have great customer service is a must! Training is provided on the job with shadowing our experienced team. We operate on a 23 acre, farm-style facility so therefore you MUST love working outdoors and happily prepared to work in all weather conditions including hot summer days, cold winter mornings and work in the rain. Our daycare days are adjusted accordingly.
This position averages 20-38 hours a week on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday. Our working hours are between 630am and 630pm. There is also a potential that hours can increase as the business does. You are required to work on Public Holidays such as Christmas, Easter and New Years periods as we are 24/7 care for our furry friends!
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST:
