Grow Your Aquatic Career Indoors at the ARC Campbelltown
Learn to Swim Instructors
Inspire confidence. Teach life skills. Build your career in aquatics.
The ARC Campbelltown is Adelaide’s premier indoor aquatic and recreation centre, home to a thriving Learn to Swim program and a passionate community focused on safety, fun, and personal growth.
We’re looking for enthusiastic Learn to Swim Instructors who are committed to helping children and adults develop essential swimming and water safety skills in a positive and engaging environment. Whether you’re an experienced instructor or just starting your journey, this is your chance to grow your career with ongoing training and support.
Why You’ll Love Working at the ARC
- Work indoors year-round – no rain, no wind, no cold-water starts!
- Flexible hours that fit around study, family, or other work commitments.
- Career development opportunities – pathways into coaching, supervision, lifeguarding, and aquatic leadership.
- Supportive team culture where your contribution is recognised and valued.
- Free access to the ARC gym, pool, and fitness facilities on your workdays.
About the Role
You’ll play an important part in shaping our community’s confidence around water by:
- Delivering high-quality swimming lessons in line with ARC’s Learn to Swim curriculum
- Creating a safe, encouraging, and fun learning environment for all participants
- Monitoring student progress and communicating effectively with parents and carers
- Supporting team initiatives, professional development, and program excellence
This is a casual position with shifts available across weekdays, weekends, and school holidays.
About You
You’re approachable, patient, and love seeing others succeed. You bring:
- A genuine passion for swimming and water safety
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children and families
- A proactive and reliable approach to teamwork
- Availability for morning, afternoon, or weekend shifts
Qualifications (or willingness to obtain):
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent)
- Current CPR (within 12 months)
- First Aid Certificate (within 3 years)
- DHS Working with Children Check
- Child Safe Environments Training
If you’re not yet qualified, we can help guide you through the certification process — we’re interested in your enthusiasm as much as your experience.
