Casual position available for a retail worker at Beveridge post office. Beveridge post office is a small family business in a rapidly growing residential location in the northern growth corridor of Melbourne. It is a fast paced but happy and friendly place to work and is easily accessible via the Hume freeway.

Role Details

Approximately 15-20 hours per week at Beveridge Licenced Post Office.

You'll be:

Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers.

Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS.

Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities.

Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associated costs.

Sorting and storing mail and parcels into shelves and private boxes.

Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs.

Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.

Other post office tasks as directed.

Start and finish times will vary but generally commencing at 10am.

Casual pay rate $32.06/hour (includes 25% casual loading) increases to $33.31/hour (including 25% loading) after approx. 3 months, + 12% Superannuation

About you

You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment.

Have experience in customer service and/or cash handling.

Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.
