Technical Services Officer - Aviation Maintenance

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a well-established aviation maintenance organisation based in Cairns, North Queensland. This company is a recognised leader in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

As a Technical Services Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting maintenance operations, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining the integrity of technical and quality records.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update subscription libraries, work order and disposal registers, and archive systems.
• Manage document disposal and conduct quality checks on completed maintenance paperwork.
• Update internal systems and customer portals with job progress and cost data.
• Liaise with customer representatives regarding active jobs, quotes, and maintenance records.
• Support the quoting process, ensuring compliance with current rate structures and MOUs.
• Generate tracking registers, create and issue work packs, and manage parts registers.
• Assist engineering and maintenance teams with document management and logbook data entries.
• Review job packs to ensure all technical documentation is complete and compliant.

About You

• 1-3 years of experience with technical records, preferably within an aviation or engineering environment.
• Previous aircraft maintenance experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Project Management or Business Administration preferred.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
