This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about promoting well-being through nutritious meals for children. Catering for 45 children daily, this role is essential to the heart of our Centre. We value and appreciate our cooks as key members of our team. In addition to preparing meals, our cooks also play an important role in welcoming families and children as they arrive and depart.

About You:

Excellent time management skills and enjoy maintaining a clean, organised kitchen

Build strong relationships with families and educators to meet children’s nutritional needs

Work in the hub of our Centre, where the kitchen connects with the children’s dining space

Prepare meals using a four-week rotational menu designed by a nutritionist, focusing on children’s dietary needs

Skills & Experience:

Valid Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable but not essential)

Current First Aid Certificate (desirable but not essential)

Cert II/III in Commercial Cooking (desirable but not essential)

Experience cooking in an early childhood setting (highly regarded)
