The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner to lead a team of practitioners and lift practice quality across the team. To support a strong start, you’ll bring with you an established billable caseload of approximately 28 hours per week, which will gradually reduce as your leadership and clinical oversight responsibilities expand, with a clear pathway to senior leadership.
Who should apply: Current Team Leaders with extensive experience managing a team (coaching, supervision, performance development, and scaling capacity) are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Growth
Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and capability building for Behaviour Practitioners.
Lead the team end-to-end: workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development.
Drive service quality and compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission standards.
Embed reflective practice, data-informed decision making, and Inclusion Tree’s whole-hearted leadership.
Manage team performance, caseload balance, and risk escalation.
Advanced Practice (reduced caseload)
Complete and develop high-quality BSPs for complex presentations.
Coach support networks to implement positive behaviour support and reduce restrictive practices.
Maintain high standards in documentation, reporting, and compliance.
About You
Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner (or Advanced with equivalent depth), ready to lead, or a current Team Leader seeking a values-aligned, innovative environment.
Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behaviour Support, Allied Health, or similar.
Proven expertise in developing and implementing BSPs.
Demonstrated success managing a team: supervision frameworks, performance development, workload management, and recruitment/onboarding.
Strong knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards & relevant legislation.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Commitment to Inclusion Tree’s We Flow culture and whole-hearted leadership.
Essential Criteria
Relevant Degree in Behaviour Support, Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health or equivalent.
Specialist experience in assessment and development of behaviour support plans.
Strong knowledge of the NDIS, Behaviour Support Practice Standards, and relevant legislation.
Proven leadership experience in mentoring, supervision, or team development.
Passion to build a strong, cohesive team.
Ability to balance participant needs with staff support and organisational goals.
Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Highly developed organisational and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, participants, and stakeholders.
