At Enabled Disability Services, we're looking for an experienced, reliable, and no-nonsense support worker to join our team. This position is specifically for one of our participants, a beautiful young adult with Down syndrome and complex behaviours.

She requires structured, consistent support. She is never physically aggressive, but she can be manipulative if boundaries are not clear. That's why we need someone who is confident, firm, and able to follow instructions while also showing initiative and common sense. This role is not for people who cut corners or struggle with boundaries.

🧡 What the Role Involves:

Supporting a young woman with Down syndrome in daily routines and activities

Providing structure, consistency, and firm support at all times

Working as part of a small team for this client to ensure continuity of care

Preparing meals, assisting with household tasks, and writing clear shift notes

Encouraging participation in social and community activities

Showing up with professionalism, patience, and resilience

⏰ Hours and Availability:

You must be available for all of the following shifts:

Tuesdays: 7:00am – 2:00pm

Wednesdays: 2:00pm – 8:00pm

Thursdays: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

Fridays: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

Every second Sunday: 9:00am – 1:00pm

Plus extra shifts as required for coverage

✅ What You'll Need:

Must be 25 years or older

Must be Australian with strong written and verbal English skills

Proven experience in the disability sector (at least 2-3 years)

First Aid and CPR

NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWVP

Common sense, initiative, and the ability to follow instructions without excuses
