We’re seeking an experienced Structural RPEQ Engineer to assist with the design, certification, and review of engineered retaining walls for residential and small commercial projects throughout Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

About the Role

This is a contract or casual role, ideal for someone looking for flexible, part-time work alongside other commitments. You’ll work closely with a small construction business specialising in retaining walls, helping to deliver efficient, compliant designs and approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review structural engineering calculations for retaining walls

Create and/or check engineering drawings and documentation

Conduct site visits as required for Form 12 and Form 15 sign-off

Provide advice on structural compliance and design improvements

Workload:
Approx. 2–10 hours per week, depending on project volume.
Some travel within Brisbane and the Gold Coast will be required.

Requirements

Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ – Structural)

Experience in retaining wall design (timber, concrete, sleeper, or masonry)

Proficiency with structural design software and documentation

Current driver’s licence and vehicle

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
