GKM Cartage Pty Ltd is a tier 1 contractor to Holcim, we are responsible for delivering quarry products out of Holcim quarries and distributing to their batching plants and various other sites throughout Perth metropolitan region and work to regional areas of Perth. We work closely with Holcim and our drivers to provide a great work environment, meeting the needs of all stakeholders.

About the role

As a Tipper Driver (Truck & Dog) at GKM Cartage, you will play a crucial role in our road transport operations. Based in Gosnells WA 6110, this full-time position is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting and delivery of quarry materials across our network.

What you'll be doing

Driving and operating a tipper truck and dog trailer to transport quarry products to sites around Perth, with some work to close-by regional areas of Perth (Northam, York, Moora)

Communicating with allocators

Performing pre and post start vehicle checks and reporting any faults

Working Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings

Completing basic documentation associated with AMMS trips and fatigue management

What we're looking for

A valid Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) driver's licence - MC preferred

Experience in operating tipper trucks and dog trailers - the ability to reverse confidently and safely is a requirement, or the capacity to refine your current skills quickly

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated reliability and punctuality

Current commercial drivers medical

Current basic fatigue management certification
