About the role

At Sports Tuition, we're seeking an experienced Senior Outdoor Recreation Instructor to join our team in Alexandra Headland, Queensland. This is a contract role, offering the opportunity to share your expertise and passion for outdoor activities with our clients. As a Senior Outdoor Recreation Instructor, you'll play a key role in delivering engaging and safe outdoor recreation programs that enrich the lives of our participants.

What you'll be doing

Designing and leading a variety of outdoor recreation activities, such as high ropes, canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling, and team-building exercises

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants by adhering to industry best practices and safety protocols

Providing high-quality instruction and guidance to help participants develop new skills and confidence in outdoor environments

Collaborating with the broader team to continuously improve the quality and delivery of our outdoor recreation programs

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as an Outdoor Recreation Instructor, with a strong background in leading a variety of outdoor activities

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation or equivalent

First aid and CPR certification (Wilderness First Aid advantageous)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants of all ages and abilities

A strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management

Adaptability and the ability to think quickly in dynamic outdoor environments

A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
