We’re Willship International — an Australian-owned international freight forwarding and customs brokerage business helping people and companies move cargo all over the world.

We’re looking for a Key Client Manager / Freight Forwarding Operations Specialist to join our Brisbane team — someone who knows freight forwarding inside out, loves working with customers, and enjoys seeing a shipment through from start to finish.

This isn’t a narrow back-office role. You’ll manage quoting, bookings, documentation, customs, delivery, invoicing, and customer communication — the full journey. You’ll work closely with our Sales team to onboard new clients, making sure their first experiences with Willship are seamless. Over time, you’ll own those client relationships completely.

The Role

You’ll be the key operational point of contact for new clients, managing their shipments and building trust from the ground up. You’ll quote, coordinate, and deliver — ensuring every shipment runs smoothly and every client feels supported.

You’ll:

Manage onboarding for new clients brought in by the Sales team.

Assist in comparing competitive and accurate quotes for air, sea, and road freight.

Coordinate bookings, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery.

Provide regular updates and clear communication throughout each shipment.

Step in to resolve complex or time-sensitive issues quickly and professionally.

Manage invoicing and job completion, ensuring accuracy and closure.

Over time, take full ownership of recurring clients as their dedicated account manager.

Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Directors to improve systems and processes.

This is a hands-on role for someone who likes being across everything — quoting, ops, and client management — not siloed into one piece of the puzzle.
