The Role

The DevOps Integration Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the integration and DevOps capabilities that underpin digital services for early childhood education and care regulation across Australia. This role works with the Lead and Senior developers, including various technical teams across agencies, business analysts, technical leads, product manager and delivery teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable, secure, integrations that support efficient data integrations.

This position is a key technical role within the Dev/Ops team and will contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement.

This role is full time and fixed-term (8 months) at ACECQA Band 5 ($103,179 - $122,039).

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A minimum of 1-3 years' experience of proven integration and DevOps initiatives within government or regulated environments.
• Understating of Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, APIM), RESTful APIs, and secure data exchange.
• Experience in one or more of the following: PowerShell, Java Script, C#, SQL, Python and Microsoft development platforms such as .NET Framework and .NET Core.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure automation.
• Experience withAPI tools for testing such as SoapUI and Postman.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor team members.
• Understanding of privacy, security, and compliance requirements in public sector IT systems.
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

While not essential, the following attributes will greatly assist you in the role:

• Experience working on national or cross-jurisdictional enterprise level digital platforms.
