DWS is seeking an API Integration Developer for a major application and platform modernisation project, which is part of an enterprise-wide digital transformation program of work

Working with our client’s team, you will develop secure, scalable microservices and REST APIs using Kong API Gateway and Node.js/Java, applying best practices in integration design and security (OAuth2, JWT)

Type: Max Term
Length: Initially up to 6 months, extensions possible
Start: Immediate (max 2 weeks’ notice)
Location: Sydney; working from both Paramatta and Macquarie Park sites
Style: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the offices (mix of both locations)
Rate: up to $190,000 (inc super) depending on experience

Skills and Experience:

• Experience working in government or public sector projects
• Strong experience developing microservices and REST APIs using Kong API Gateway and Node.js/Java frameworks
• Skilled in designing reusable integration patterns, implementing API versioning, and enforcing security standards.
• Hands-on expertise with OAuth2 and JWT for secure authentication and authorization
• Proven ability to deliver scalable, secure APIs and integrations between enterprise systems and external platforms
• Solid understanding of API lifecycle management, performance optimization, and best practices for high-availability services
