Are you a data dynamo with a passion for turning chaos into clarity? We're on the lookout for a Data Engineer (Contract) to join a high-performing Data & BI team and help drive the heartbeat of business operations through smart data solutions.

You’ll play a vital role in the collection, cleansing, organisation, and delivery of data assets across the business. Your work will directly empower day-to-day operations and performance monitoring. You'll collaborate closely with the Data & BI, Technology teams, and key business stakeholders to keep our client's data infrastructure running smoothly and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain daily data processes.
• Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines.
• Assist in data migration projects.
• Maintain clear documentation of pipelines, models, and datasets.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Communicate technical options and progress with stakeholders.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance (including PII protection).

Key Skills Required:

• Must have strong SQL Server, Snowflake & DBT experience.
• Familiarity with Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Fivetran, Python, Power BI.

• Degree in Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in data pipeline design & implementation.
• Advanced SQL and ETL/ELT development experience.
• Strong skills in data migration and data modelling.
• Confident working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Great communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for presenting clean, clear data.
• A proactive, positive, and collaborative attitude.
