About the Opportunity

MMD Recruitment is partnering with a leading national client-side consultancy delivering complex and high-value data centre, infrastructure, and energy projects across Australia.

With several major projects ramping up in Sydney and Melbourne, we are seeking driven and capable Project Coordinators to join the client’s growing delivery team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside seasoned Project Directors and Managers on technically challenging projects, gaining exposure to design, procurement, construction, and commissioning within one of the fastest-growing sectors in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day project coordination support across design, construction, and commissioning phases.

Assist Project Managers and Directors in managing project schedules, budgets, documentation, and reporting.

Coordinate design and construction deliverables between consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Prepare and maintain project registers, reports, and meeting documentation (minutes, actions, and progress summaries).

Track Free Issue Equipment (FIE) logistics and delivery milestones.

Support cost and variation management, risk tracking, and claims reviews.

Help prepare project communications including weekly and monthly progress reports.

Contribute to quality assurance, safety-in-design reviews, and governance compliance.

Foster strong relationships with client stakeholders, contractors, and authorities.

About You

3–5 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator within a client-side consultancy, Tier 1 contractor, or engineering firm.

Exposure to data centre, energy or infrastructure.

Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction, or Engineering.

Strong understanding of project lifecycle, reporting structures, and documentation control.

Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities within complex project environments.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.

Experience using Procore, MS Project, or similar PM tools.
