Job Description
Hi there, thanks for stopping by. We're glad to have gotten your attention, but we'll be thrilled when you apply. We're on the hunt for a new member of our team. We're eager to find someone who is passionate about what they do, and is excited for a new journey with our fantastic firm.
About Carbon.
We’re not your average professional services firm. Carbon launched in 2014 with the goal to shake up the industry and change the level of service that small and medium business owners received. We combine all the core business services in the one place (from accounting to bookkeeping to finance to insurance and everything in between), bringing together some of the best experts in the industry so our clients can focus on doing more of what they love.
What it means to be a Carbonite.
Our Carbonites are our best asset, and we’ve grown from a small team of 13 people in a single office in Perth to over 300 Carbonites nationwide, with offices in multiple states. A key element in our plan of world domination is having the best people possible to help us along the way. This is where you come in.
As our next Carbonite, you’ll be joining a team at multiple levels. You’ll be part of a team in your office, working with other talented people such as yourself. You’ll also be joining our national ranks, meaning you can easily tap into a knowledge base for a tricky question or to bounce ideas off of for the next team activity.
Empowering our Carbonites is a big part of our mission and vision, so we focus on helping our Carbonites learn and grow, developing their careers in the direction that they want to go in.
About the role.
As a Client Services Officer in our Wealth Management team, you’ll play a key role in supporting both our clients and our Financial Adviser. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, managing portfolio administration, responding to queries, and ensuring they receive exceptional service every step of the way.
You’ll be preparing review packs and documentation for client meetings, assisting with the implementation of advice strategies, and making sure communication is clear, timely, and accurate. Because of this, you need to be highly organised, adaptable, and confident engaging with a wide range of people.
You’ll be working within a team of Carbonites who are experts in what they do and foster a collaborative, supportive environment where you’ll be able to grow and thrive.
Job Requirements
We’re looking for someone with:
- Roughly 3 years experience in financial services, ideally in wealth management or a similar client services role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience using Xplan.
- Financial Planning or Degree qualifications (highly regarded but not essential).
- The ability to adapt to change, work independently, and take ownership of outcomes.
You’ll be perfect for the role if:
- You thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- You’re naturally organised and pride yourself on attention to detail.
- You enjoy working with people and building strong client relationships.
- You have a proactive, positive attitude and a willingness to jump in and help.
- You love being part of a supportive team that values collaboration and accountability.
Job Responsibilities
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, managing portfolio administration and general queries.
- Preparing review packs and supporting documents for client meetings.
- Providing regular communication and updates to clients.
- Supporting our Financial Adviser in the delivery of tailored advice strategies.
- Assisting with client enquiries over the phone and via email.
- Delivering exceptional client service and ensuring all administration tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Job Benefits
We aspire to create a culture in every office where our people are motivated and supported to achieve their goals. With that in mind, we know what is important to each person will vary, so here are a few things we offer:
- Learning and development opportunities driven by you: Want to focus your skills in a certain area, or explore something new with training? Great, let’s do it. We have internal and external training options.
- Social activities to suit different people: Regular team events, office events, community giveback opportunities, etc. etc.
- And, of course, we also offer some great benefits like discounts, cashbacks, rewards, and initiatives to support wellness.
Ready to apply?
Great, we'd love to hear from you. Keep in mind that the desired skills and experience we listed above are all important components to this role, but that doesn't mean you need to tick every box to apply! We're dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and exciting team, so even if your past experience doesn't perfectly align with everything listed but you're passionate about this role and joining our firm, apply anyways.
At Carbon, we know we’re at our best when we look out for one another; prioritise respect, fairness, development and wellbeing; foster an inclusive culture and embrace diversity in all forms. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of their background, experience, identity, ability or thinking style, and if you need assistance or an accommodation during the application process for accessibility reasons this is available upon request.
