About the role

AZL Consulting and Trading Group Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated Accountant to join our team. This is a full-time entry-level position offering the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance within a growing and dynamic company. As our Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and statutory compliance.

What you'll be doing

Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations of ledgers

Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Preparing weekly payroll and managing superannuation contributions

Assisting with tax return preparation and lodgement (BAS, Payroll Tax, Superannuation)

Participating in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis of income, expenses, and cash flow

Supporting audits and financial investigations

Maintaining and improving internal control systems

Implementing and managing accounting systems and providing guidance on accounting tools

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent

0–2 years of relevant accounting experience; recent graduates are welcome

Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB or Xero, and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities

Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team

Knowledge of accounting principles, payroll, and small business compliance is an advantage
