Retirees WA Inc. is seeking a, self-motivated and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Salter Point Aged Care Facility, a 120-bed facility in Salter Point, 6152.

The role offers a good work/life balance. The hours can be scheduled to meet family commitments and school hours.

About the Role:

As the Occupational Therapist, you will take the lead in delivering person-centred care aimed at enhancing the independence, well-being, and quality of life of our residents. You will be responsible for assessing individual needs, developing tailored therapy plans, and implementing interventions that promote functional abilities and safety. As part of a supportive care team, you’ll be working in close partnership with clinical and care staff as well as the Facility Manager to ensure cohesive and high-quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised treatment plans

Provide therapeutic interventions to support mobility, cognitive function, and daily living activities

Collaborate with nursing, care, and lifestyle teams to ensure holistic resident care

Educate staff and families on equipment use, manual handling, and care strategies

Document and report clinical outcomes in line with regulatory standards

What We’re Looking For:

Tertiary Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA

Minimum 2 years’ experience, ideally within aged care or a similar setting

Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload

Compassionate, resident-focused approach with a genuine interest in elder care

A sound understanding of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards is expected
