Join the Student and Academic Services team as a Department Support Officer (Academic), where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth delivery of teaching and learning activities within the Faculty of Business and Economics. In this dynamic role, you'll gain invaluable experience in providing high-level administrative support across various areas, including assessment management, timetabling, and event coordination. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, develop your problem-solving skills, and contribute to the overall success of the faculty's academic programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessment and Engagement Support: Coordinate and administer mid-semester tests, alternate exam arrangements, supplementary exams, and results processing.
  • Timetabling and Enquiry Management: Prepare and monitor teaching timetables, respond to student enquiries, and liaise with relevant staff.
  • Event and Visitor Coordination: Provide administrative support for seminars, visitors, and guests, including publicity and resource allocation.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with internal staff to ensure efficient service delivery and active participation in relevant communities of practice.
  • Project and Task Management: Undertake additional tasks and projects as directed by the Department Senior Manager or Head of Department
