As a Development Support Officer, you will:

• Assist with the development and support, including design, coding, testing and corrections of new and existing departmental business systems, ensuring that all activities are appropriate and undertaken utilising agreed tools, methodologies and within departmental, whole-of-government and industry standards.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to ICT systems. Assist with specified maintenance procedures. Carry out agreed operational procedures of a routine nature.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of standards, procedures and processes to promote and maintain software quality, assist with quality reviews to ensure standards are adhered to.
• Assist with providing work estimates and advice in the evaluation of technical solutions to information systems issues, including the review of estimates developed by other team members.
• Knowledge of system design and contemporary development life cycle methodologies, change management and quality management processes in order to assist in the development of innovative and appropriate solutions for information systems issues.
• Provide timely advice on technical issues relating to maintaining and supporting existing ICT systems.
• Use interpersonal communication to establish and maintain networks and working relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders.
• Adoption of Agile and DevSecOps cultural practices and methodologies ensuring best practice in supporting cloud environments.

Role specific/technical skills

• Knowledge of ICT development and support, system design and life cycle methodologies.
• Knowledge of or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge Agile, SCRUM and DevSecOps methodologies, and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of DevOps
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 or Power Platform would be desirable
