We’re currently partnering with a top-tier law firm in Sydney’s CBD on an exciting part-time opportunity within their Corporate team. This position is a job share with another experienced Legal Assistant, working three days a week. The role has become available due to an internal promotion - a sign of the firm’s commitment to growth and development.
This role is perfect for someone seeking work-life balance while staying engaged in meaningful, high-quality work. You’ll be supporting two Partners who are known for being approachable, down-to-earth, and appreciative of their support team. It’s a busy role, but you’ll have the backing of a strong network of Legal Assistants and administrative professionals.
What your day will look like:
- Keeping matters running smoothly, managing time entries, reporting, and handling complex billing;
- Owning the Partners’ diaries, including meetings, travel, and client events;
- Drafting, formatting, and managing documents confidently using Microsoft Office and systems like iManage;
- Coordinating client catch-ups - from relaxed coffee meetings to polished corporate dinners;
- Assisting with the preparation of business development materials that stand out; and
- Offering support and guidance to our talented team of Administrative Assistants.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience supporting Partners in a busy legal environment;
- Proven end-to-end billing experience;
- Excellent time management and the ability to juggle competing priorities with ease;
- A proactive mindset - anticipating needs and finding solutions before they arise;
- Strong matter management experience; and
- A collaborative approach and genuine interest in mentoring and supporting others.
