About the role

The Trade Assistant position at R Moore & Sons plays a vital role in our operations by supporting the refurbishment and regeneration of various mechanical components, to restore them to optimal working condition and ensure precision and quality throughout the regeneration process.

Additionally, they will collaborate closely with a number of stakeholders to ensure projects run effectively, efficiently and to time.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety for success in this role.

What you'll be doing

Assist tradespeople with day-to-day tasks, including setup, clean-up, and organization of jobs.

Load and unload materials and tools as required.

Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a safe work environment.

Help with administrative tasks such as documentation and record-keeping.

Job planning and delivery of components for staging and to sections.

Qualifications & experience

Strong OH&S accountability.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to change quickly.

Proven planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity.

Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be in daily liaison with internal stakeholders.
