We are seeking a Junior Residential Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our operations by providing accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects, from concept through to completion.

The successful candidate must have prior experience working onsite preferably in carpentry or experience working in a residential building company office

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects

Interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications

Liaise with builders, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to obtain quotes and clarify project scope

Analyse and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance

Prepare BOQs, scope of works, and tender submissions

Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to support project delivery

Update and maintain estimating software and databases

Requirements

working knowledge of the residential construction industry and building practices

Experience working directly with builders or for a building company

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documentation

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

High level of attention to detail and accuracy
