About the role
We are looking for a Therapy Assistant to join us on a part time basis in the Memory Support Unit. The successful person will need to show enthusiasm, motivation and be willing to get creative whilst having fun.
Surrounded by a supportive team and working in a fun environment, you will play a key role in supporting our clients to meet their allied health goals and participate in various leisure and lifestyle activities. Knowledge and experience working with Residents with Dementia/Alzheimer’s diagnosis will be highly considered.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Certificate in Lifestyle and Leisure or certificate III in Allied health Assistance.
High level interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
Demonstrated innovation and flair in program management.
Understanding and commitment to Occupational Health & Safety.
National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months).
Hold a current flu vaccination.
Ability to work 1pm - 5pm Tuesday - Friday.
Prior experience working in Aged Care Setting with understanding of Aged Care Accreditation standards and relevant documentation.
