North East Community Children's Centre, a not-for-profit, community-based service in Hillcrest, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our close-knit team. We’re seeking someone who’s ready to commit long-term, bring fresh ideas, and be part of a supportive and inclusive workplace that values relationships and reflection.

About the Role
Alongside our lead teacher, you will:
Design and deliver a play-based curriculum that supports the interests and strengths of each child
Collaborate with educators to create inspiring, inclusive learning environments
Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families
Engage in thoughtful documentation, reflection, and planning
Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and uphold the National Quality Standards
Actively participate in team meetings, professional learning, and a culture of reflective practice
About You
You are an experienced and enthusiastic teacher who:
Holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
Has a strong understanding of play-based pedagogy and child-led learning
Values each child as an individual and believes in learning as an ongoing journey
Brings warmth, initiative, and professionalism to your work
Wants to be part of a team long-term and contribute meaningfully to the service’s future
Has a current Working with Children Check, First Aid (HLTAID012), and relevant clearances
Bonus points if you also have:
Experience working in a not-for-profit or community-managed service
Strong digital and administrative skills for documentation and communication
