The Role:

The Warehouse Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the efficient, accurate, and timely operation of the warehouse. Working as part of a close-knit team, this role is responsible for assisting with all aspects of warehouse activity including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the daily receiving, unpacking, checking, and storage of incoming goods.

Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in accordance with company procedures and timelines.

Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently

Support inventory control activities including stock counts, replenishment, and reporting of discrepancies.

Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in monitoring stock levels to ensure product availability.

Handle goods carefully to prevent damage and ensure accuracy of records.

Check that all outgoing goods meet quality control standards before dispatch.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders.

Physically fit with the ability to lift, move, and stack stock safely.

Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office or warehouse software).

Experience with forklift operation

Current forklift licence

Valid driver’s licence.

A strong work ethic with an ability to work independently in a team environment.
