Catherine McAuley College Bendigo is seeking expressions of interest from experienced teaching professionals currently employed at the College to join the leadership team in 2026. This internal opportunity invites applications for the role of Year Level Coordinator (YLC), a key leadership position focused on fostering continuous learning, student wellbeing, and faith development across a designated year level.

About the role

The Year Level Coordinator oversees all relationships and interactions among students, staff, and parents within their assigned year level. Reporting to the Assistant Principal Campus Leaders and supported by the Pastoral Care Director, the YLC provides professional guidance to teaching staff and leads initiatives that promote student wellbeing, academic growth, and faith formation.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading pastoral care programs, including camps, retreats, liturgies, and wellbeing initiatives.

Supporting staff in implementing proactive behaviour strategies and inclusive curriculum practices.

Coordinating communication with families and managing student support interventions.

Collaborating with Learning Leaders to drive curriculum delivery and academic outcomes.

Contributing to College-wide leadership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a committed educator who:

· Holds current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

· Has accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or is working towards it).

· Demonstrates leadership in student wellbeing, pastoral care, and inclusive learning practices.

· Is passionate about faith development and fostering a values-based learning environment.

· Has strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families.

· Is collaborative, innovative, and committed to continuous improvement.

· Has experience using student data to inform practice and drive outcomes.

· Is familiar with the Victorin Curriculum and the mission of Catholic education.
