Your new role

As Governance Adviser, your responsibilities include:

• Driving the strategic direction of frameworks and associated artefacts
• Providing strategic and operational governance advice across multiple functions
• Managing risk and business continuity priorities
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Leading and developing a team of three staff
• Contributing to broader section leadership and collaboration

This role demands initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work through ambiguity. You will be expected to research, think ahead, and deliver outcomes under tight timeframes.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ability to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance
• Strong APS experience and understanding of governance principles
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects
• High-level stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach
• Ability to work collaboratively in a collegiate EL1 cohort
• Resilience and confidence to operate in a new, evolving environment
