At Articulated Health, we are a warm, caring and friendly group to work with. We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to join our dynamic private medical practice that provides a high-quality and timely rheumatology service to patients, general practitioners and specialist referrers. We strive to support our patients to live independently and to be educated, active participants in their health care.
Applicants must hold either Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse qualifications.
A minimum of 2+ years nursing experience is required for this position.
You will play a pivotal role in patient care, helping to foster the therapeutic relationship between the clinical practice and the patient.
Our nurse is integral to our clinical care provision. Core responsibilities of the role are to:
Measure and record patient vital signs / biometrics.
Be a point of contact for day-to-day clinical matters, e.g. relaying test results or medication plans (in consultation with medical staff).
To complete a telephone consultation with new patients prior to their first medical consultation to obtain background information – e.g. medication list, past medical history, other key specialists involved in patient care.
Rheumatology medication education with patients (training provided).
Ensure the provision of optimal, patient-centred clinical care to patients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
Support all clinical team members to provide an exceptional experience for patients.
Develop, review, and maintain efficient and effective clinical systems and processes, backed up by appropriate and up to date documentation and patient handouts.
Support collaboration between clinical and administrative team members to deliver high quality and efficient service and care to all patients.
The EEN nurse role underpins the success of the practice and as such incorporates a broad range of responsibilities and accountabilities. It is understood that the nature of the role will at times require additional duties and tasks to be undertaken.
At all times, the Articulated Health nurse is expected to:
Comply with all requirements under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme as implemented by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, and all other legislation relevant to the position.
Current AHPRA registration is required at the time of application.
Comply with all legislative requirements and support the compliance of others in the team.
Comply with organisational policies, procedures and other documentation.
Uphold and further the values of the organisation.
Within scope of practice and training, and in keeping with accepted best practice standards, provide high quality clinical care for patients of all ages and backgrounds, in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner.
