About you
You’ve got a background in Arboriculture, enjoy working collaboratively, and can lead by example on-site whilst ensuring the smooth delivery of parks maintenance.
You hold the following qualifications and licences:
Certificate III in Arboriculture
Class MR Drivers Licence or willingness to obtain
Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White card) or willingness to obtain
Temporary Traffic Management Ticket Supervisory (TTM) or willingness to obtain
Licence to Perform High Risk Work class: Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
Safe Work at Heights ticket
Provide First Aid Certificate
Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker certificate
Willingness to undertake a Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process
About the position
Reporting directly to the Team Leader Arboriculture, the Leading Worker Arboriculture not only actively participates in the team's daily operational activities but also assumes the pivotal role of overseeing on-site operations of the Arboriculture team. This encompasses ensuring the efficient delivery of arboriculture maintenance for the Council's vegetation and other parks-related tasks across streets and reserves.
The successful applicant will be required to:
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with WH&S requirements.
Manage resources (people, materials and plant) to deliver Arboriculture programs and other related works to time, cost and quality.
Provide a support role to the Team Leader Arboriculture.
On site supervision and co-ordination of team.
Onsite induction/training of new staff.
Provide advice and guidance for onsite enquiries by the public.
Utilise as required electronic asset management systems.

You will be rostered on a 9-day fortnight schedule, optimising your work time wile offering flexibility.

Salary range is between $75,689 and $76,911 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications.
The remuneration will shortly be increased in-line with our Field Staff Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
