About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to deliver high level maternity and gynaecology Physiotherapy services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women accessing the Women's Health Services within the Caboolture Hospital (CABH) and Metro North Health (MNH).

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of issues and priorities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women's health and wellbeing, and independent professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
  • Provide clinical education and supervision, including: lectures/ tutorials, primary supervisory role for students, and clinical practice supervision to less experienced practitioners, to ensure the maintenance of professional physiotherapy clinical standards.
  • Apply high level clinical practice knowledge and skills in the provision of physiotherapy clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers, within Maternity at CABH, and to other stakeholders regarding service delivery and development/ improvement of clinical services.
