The purpose of this role is to provide general domestic assistance to our older population, providing them with the support they need to remain in their own homes.

Our Townsville Home and Community service is seeking a part-time Support Services Worker. Our Support Services Workers provide invaluable support by providing general household cleaning, laundry, cooking and social support to our older population with help around their homes.

About you:

• Comfortable in the use of housekeeping equipment
• Clear communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families
• Demonstrated ability to be able to work independently and effectively with the elderly
• A Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) will be highly regarded but not required
• The physical demands of this role may include standing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching etc.

Qualifications:

• Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
• A current National Police Certificate
