About the Role:
We currently have a Casual Support Services Worker - Laundry position available to service clients at our St. Martin's facility in Taigum. We are looking to fill shifts spanning across 4 days/week. Pay rate would be $34.44-37.67/hr depending on your level of experince.
The purpose of the role is to provide safe, high quality and efficient laundering services for residents in order to meet regulatory compliance and resident satisfaction. It encourages physical and social independence, supports a safe home-like environment and safeguards the dignity and privacy of our residents.
About You:
We are looking for applicants that have:
- Previous experience in residential or commercial laundering or cleaning.
- Knowledge of Infection Control principles in relation to laundry services.
- Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing services to elderly people.
- Ability to work effectively, respectfully and collegially with a team and also unsupervised.
- Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements in particular manual handling.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret written and verbal instructions and policies and procedures.
The following will be required of successful applicants:
- Current National Police Check
- Current Flu Vaccination Certificate desired
- Current Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate (optional)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Certificate II or III in Asset Management (Laundry Operations) or relevant (desirable)
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster including working on weekends and public holidays as
required
