About the role

Our client is seeking a motivated Cadet/Assistant Building Surveyor to join their growing team. You’ll combine tertiary study with on-the-job training, progressively gaining skills in approvals, inspections, and certification under the QLD Building Act while being supported by senior staff.

Duties

• Undertake tertiary studies toward a Building Surveying qualification
• Develop knowledge of the BCA & relevant legislation
• Assist with assessment, approval, inspection & certification
• Liaise with clients and support project management tasks
• Provide technical and administrative support to senior staff

Skills & Experience

• Enrolled in or willing to commence an AIBS or RICS accredited course
• Evidence of ability to complete coursework successfully
• Some experience or exposure to residential building
• Knowledge of the BCA & QLD building legislation (advantageous)
• Strong problem-solving and client liaison skills
