Tasman Safety & Training Services is currently seeking experienced and qualified Trainer and Assessor to deliver a range of nationally recognized and high-risk courses at our Perth training facility and on client sites as required.
All Trainers and Assessors must, hold a current Australian Driver’s License, hold current qualifications equal to or above the qualification being delivered or be willing to obtain these qualifications, as well as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) including LLN units.
Have knowledge and understanding of, RTO standards, function of Training Packages, requirements of ASQA and VET related funding bodies.
Ensure all training delivery meets ASQA and WorkSafe WA requirements
Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities
Ensure continuous compliance against standard operating procedures.
Maintain up to date Trainer and Assessor/student lists and forward plan for completions/withdrawals.
Monitor reports including overdue outcomes, attendance, scanning and student fees.
Audit all completed files promptly
Efficient management and utilisation of resources
Create a culture of compliance and continuous improvement
Adopt safe working practices and compliance with WH&S policies and procedures
Attend Company meetings, host site team meetings and produce reports and minutes for these meetings as required
Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training including a working knowledge of Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and National Vet Regulator (NVR) Standards.
Ability to develop, plan, implement and manage multiple projects.
Have strong interpersonal skills.
Have the ability to work as part of a strong team.
Be highly organised and have strong attention to detail.
Have experience and/or demonstrated ability in working with youth.
Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Have strong written and oral communication skills.
Annual National Police Check (issued in the 3-months prior to appointment)
Current Driver's license
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent that meets current trainer requirements under ASQA)
Holding a current Assessor Accreditation (WorkSafe WA) for one or more of the above classes will be considered a strong advantage and may attract higher pay
