About the role
Kadota' is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager or someone who is ready to progress into this role. You will work alongside our executive chef and FOH host, to achieve excellent service in out renowned restaurant in Daylesford, Victoria. We are driven by craftsmanship, detail, and hospitality excellence — delivering a seamless, memorable experience for every guest.
As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient staff management, and the profitability of the restaurant.
This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a small dedicated team, This is a hands-on role. experience in a Japanese / Asian restaurant is a bonus but not a necessity.
What you'll be doing
Working alongside our restaurant host to ensure an excellent and memorable experience each night in the dining room
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and profitability
Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control to maintain optimal stock levels and minimise waste
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement seasonal beverage programs
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, as well as liquor licensing requirements
Foster a positive and motivating work environment, providing coaching and training to staff as needed
Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
Sound knowledge of Japanese cuisine, premium beverages, and wine service preferred.
Current RSA Competency Card and full Australian working rights are essential.
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role or similar, preferably in a fine-dining or premium restaurants.
Proven track record of successful staff management and development, including scheduling, training, and performance reviews
Strong financial and operations management skills, with the ability to analyse data and implement cost-saving measures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both customers and staff
Thorough knowledge of food and beverage, as well as liquor licensing and health and safety regulations
A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience
