A leading global software company is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their high-performing Cloud Services team based in Canberra ACT.

You will be responsible for managing and optimising the cloud infrastructure and hosted applications, with a strong focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and automation. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, security, and resilience across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, upgrade, and manage cloud infrastructure and hosted applications.
• Develop, and maintain automation scripts for deployment and infrastructure management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and integration layers.
• Monitor system performance, availability, security, and compliance using industry-standard tools.
• Participate in on-call support rotation and incident response.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning and the implementation of new systems or upgrades.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to integrate DevOps best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and incident resolutions.

Key Requirements:

• 4+ years’ experience in deploying or supporting cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Route 53, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, IAM, DynamoDB, ACM, KMS, VPC)
• Proficiency with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
• Experience deploying and managing containerised applications using Kubernetes.
• Strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Unix system administration.
• Solid scripting skills for automation (e.g. Python, Bash, Shell).
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Australian government security clearance is required.

Salary Package: $190K-$200K (incl. Base Salary, Superannuation, Bonus)
