Position: Full Stack Software Engineer
Location: Sydney, near Central station, 4 days in office, 1 day WFH
Salary: Up to $180,000 base + super

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced engineer who can design and build complete solutions, not just deliver tickets. You'll architect applications end-to-end, make key technical decisions, and stay hands-on writing clean, scalable code every day.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full stack applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js and React
• Architect and document solutions, selecting appropriate services and patterns for each use case
• Develop and deploy serverless applications on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3)
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features end-to-end
• Ensure system performance, scalability and reliability through good design and testing
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Apply test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks
• Review technical requirements and provide feedback on specifications
• Mentor junior developers and uphold engineering standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Proven experience with Node.js and React
• Strong understanding of solution design, architecture and system integration
• Solid database experience (relational, NoSQL, OLAP)
• Extensive experience in cloud/serverless environments (AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3)
• Knowledge of CI/CD, version control (Git) and Agile development
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor
• Familiarity with GraphQL or TypeScript-based API frameworks
