Experienced Transport Scheduler - Heavy Haulage

We’re seeking a skilled Transport Scheduler to join our dispatch team and take charge of Heavy Haulage at our Park Ridge depot. This hands-on, fast-paced role is ideal for someone with experience in the transport industry. Someone who can talk the talk, plan efficiently, and stay cool under pressure.

Our ideal candidate is a pro at dispatching heavy haulage trucks, knows NHVR rules & compliance, transport logistics, and how to keep big rigs rolling efficiently.

About the Role
You’ll be responsible for the daily scheduling, coordination, and compliance of our heavy haulage fleet. The role involves planning long-haul movements, supporting drivers, maintaining NHVR compliance, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and scheduling heavy haulage movements across Queensland and interstate

Allocating jobs efficiently and maintaining compliance with NHVR and fatigue management requirements

Communicating clearly and professionally with drivers, customers, and stakeholders

Coordinating permits, routes, travel and accommodation for long-haul jobs

Monitoring progress and resolving issues calmly and efficiently

Maintaining accurate job records and dispatch documentation

Identifying process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and customer service

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in transport scheduling, allocation, or dispatch (heavy haulage experience highly regarded)

Strong knowledge of the transport industry, NHVR compliance, and fatigue management

Excellent communication skills – confident dealing with drivers, customers, and management

Reliable and consistent, with strong attention to detail and time management

Calm under pressure and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

A proactive problem-solver with initiative and accountability

Competent computer skills and experience with dispatch or transport management systems

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Full-time role, Monday to Friday (6:00am – 5:00pm)

Minimal after-hours on-call work (approx. 5–6 hours per week, allowance provided)
